In 1990, after 20 years in the automobile business, George Kartsotis decided it was time to go into business for himself. Cashing in his 401K and borrowing a little more, he relocated to the Dallas area, TX area, where his two brothers had already established the immensely successful brand, Fossil, a watch and personal accessory company. With sample pens he had had made up to his specifications.
